If you've been following my blog (and who isn't?) you'll know I have great admiration for the Lizard King himself - Elon Musk. (apologies for the 80's Sci-fi reference- Ed) Well, now his fantastically named company - 'The Boring Company' has won a $48.6 million contract to create underground tunnels with self-driving electric vehicles to transport visitors to Las Vegas.
Whether this will turn out to be a flash in the pan fairground attraction or the vanguard of a brave new world of underground transport, only time will tell. But give ol' Musky his due - he thinks big. Between this and the vacuum tubes across America idea (Blog passim) he is a unique futurist.
